I read about it in Starbucks.
It was just what I needed.
A goal.
I totally like the idea of it...
Lots of people all over the world running a 10K that day together...but separately.
The promotional piece says:
Run with your friends
Run with your neighbors
Run with people you've never met
Run with the whole world
Run with us
Now....substitute the verb "serve" for "run" and you've got a great idea for a movement within the church.
That's next on my agenda...

I'm a runner. I read about that race when I was at Starbucks one day. Sounds interesting. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you.
You should give it a whirl! I've got to lead worship @ church that morning, so I am running on my own before church. The idea (for me) was to have a goal to shoot for. Being a part of the "race" at large is just icing on the cake! Maybe next time I'll get to the bigger city to run with a crowd.
